Fundraising and events
The CJD Support Network relies entirely on the kindness of our donors and fundraisers to continue our work.
Whatever you do to fundraise, and however much you raise, you are helping individuals and families affected by prion diseases to get the support they need. We are so very grateful to all the fundraisers who have run, swum, cycled, climbed, done parachute jumps, organised coffee mornings and much more to raise money for the Network, as well as families who have given donations in loving memory loved ones.
Fundraising ideas and stories
From bake sales to bike rides, sweepstakes to sponsored walks, members of our network have found all sorts of different ways to honour their loved ones and raise funds and awareness of CJD. Visit our news section for inspiration and fundraising stories, or get in touch to discuss ideas. We are able to support you with planning, publicising and merchandise for your fundraising.

Setting up a fundraising page
It’s really easy to collect and track your fundraising by setting up a JustGiving page. Go to our JustGiving website and click on ‘fundraise for us’. You will then be guided through setting up a page. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.
Paying in funds
If you have funds to pay into the network, please visit how to donate. When donating, please use reference ‘in memoriam’ for fundraising donations in loving memory a loved one or loved ones. Please make sure that the name of your loved one is made clear when making your donation by either including it in the envelope when sending a cheque, or get in touch with their name if donating via BACS and they will be added to our Memorial Roll. Where we have your contact details, payments will be acknowledged in writing.
