An update on Ionis Pharmaceutical’s PrProfile clinical trial to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of ION717 in people with symptomatic prion disease.
The CJD International Support Alliance has been pleased to share news with member organisations such as ourselves that Ionis has successfully randomised the final participant in Regimen 3 of PrProfile. This completes enrollment for the study. Ionis had previously communicated that they had closed screening for PrProfile. Enrollment completion is a separate milestone, and so we are pleased to share this update today.
Please also note that, based on the timing of enrollment completion, Ionis has also updated the Primary Study Completion Date to April 2027 (previously February 2027). Ionis will review full data after that date to inform next steps in their research on the potential of ION717 as a treatment for prion disease.
