Julia Davenne Exhibition at Oxo Gallery, London and Auction of her Work

Julia gained a B.A. at St Martin’s School of Art and a Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Academy of Arts. She was awarded a research scholarship at Trondheim Kunstacademie, Norway. Exhibitions throughout the UK, Iceland and Norway followed. Julia taught in Norway, as well as for 12 years at Chelsea School of Art before settling in Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons), where she continued to paint, exhibit and enjoy strong local community links. In 2023, Julia was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD), and died in 2024 aged fifty‑five. Her sister, Emma, is holding a London Exhibition from 22-26 April at the Oxo Coin Street Gallery in London. We are very grateful to Julia’s family that net proceeds will go to support our Research Grants.
The exhibition presents a curated selection of works and offers a rare opportunity to experience the scale, texture and presence of Julia’s paintings firsthand
If you are unable to visit the Oxo Gallery, you may be interested to view the exhibition works and many more by viewing the concurrent online auction. Bidding is open now and closes on Sunday 26 April at 5.30pm.
This event is not organised by The CJD Support Network.
