2026 has started on track for Cogs’s Clever Quizzes in South Wales. Ian says:
A cold and damp Sunday on 1 February saw a small but dedicated band of regular quizzers attend the monthly “Cogs’s Clever Quiz” at the New House Inn, North Cornelly. Entry fees plus the usual raffle ticket sales raised a brilliant £105 for the CJD Support Network charity. After a very close contest, a stewards enquiry and a recount, the eventual winners declared were “Simple Minds + 3 ” (aka The Bar Boys) who scraped home by just 1 point!
Next quiz is on Sunday March 1st (St David’s Day) when most folks will be donning either traditional Welsh costumes, or at the very least, sporting leeks and/or daffodils!
A reminder that these quizzes take place on the 1st Sunday of every month, 4pm start (except for August when there is no quiz) at the New House Inn, North Cornelly, Bridgend, South Wales CF33 4HT. Everyone is welcome, so why not go along for a really fun packed afternoon!
