Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease: From presentation to palliative care

We are pleased to share an awareness and education article recently published in the Australian Journal of General Practice. The article provides a case study and answers to 6 important questions to educate clinician about CJD and raise awareness. Lead author, Debra Scott says:

“The CJDSGN Australia was invaluable in helping me as a clinician care for someone with this rare disease. This article aims to raise awareness about CJD and where clinicians can access support”

Debra is a GP specialising in Palliative Care, and is Palliative Care and Patient Care Advisor to the CJD Support Group Network (CJDSGN), Australia. The article was co-authored by Suzanne Solvyns (Director) and David Ralston (Assistant Director) of the CJDSGN, and Mariese Hely, Consultant Neurologist at Emeritus Westmead Hospital, Sydney.
