We are thrilled to share the amazing news that Aly, Cael and Blair Jappy – with help from their mum, Erin – have officially completed their incredible 100-mile walking and cycling challenge in honour of their grandad, Ian Jappy, who passed away with Sporadic CJD in 2016.
Over the course of just 27 days, this inspiring young family walked, pedalled, and pushed themselves to reach an impressive 100.41 miles. And they didn’t just reach their £500 fundraising goal, they smashed it, raising an extraordinary £2,837 for the CJD Support Network! These vital funds will help us continue supporting individuals and families affected by all forms of prion disease, as well as those at increased risk.
Erin says: “we are so incredibly proud of our boys and they have not the slightest clue of how well received their small gesture of having fun on their bikes and going walks will be. We have had such a lovely reception from our community and the kids were featured on their school newsletter too.”
