Informal meet up
Following a successful informal meeting in Dewsbury last year, we will be holding another get together to mark International CJD Awareness Day for 2024. This year we will meet on Saturday 9th November at the Apex Hotel in Central Edinburgh (61 Grassmarket, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, EH1 2HJ). The venue is a short walk from both the train and bus station. Anyone with a personal connection to CJD is welcome to drop into the meeting for as little or as much time as they would like to between 11am and 4pm, refreshments will be available for purchase from the venue. The intention of the meeting is to get together, chat,and connect. For any queries, please contact [email protected].

‘In Memory’ awareness video
Once again we will produce an ‘In Memory’ video which will be shared on 12th November across our social media platforms. Visit our YouTube channel HERE to watch our 2022 and 2023 ‘In Memory’ videos.
All photos from our 2023 video will feature again this year, if your loved one is not featured and you would like their photo to be added please send it to [email protected] by 5th September 2024. Please let us know if you would not be happy for your loved one’s photo to be featured in other awareness day content. If you would like a previously included photo not to be included for 2024, please also contact [email protected].
Genetic Alliance UK ‘X’ Takeover
We will be taking over Genetic Alliance UK’s ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) account on 12th November 2024, sharing content such as written posts, graphics and videos with their 15.8k followers to raise awareness of CJD and prion disease.
International CJD Support Alliance
We are a proud member of the International CJD Support Alliance, and will be taking part in and reposting their social media content on the 12th November 2024 as well!
