£30,000 raised by Biggar Young Farmers!
We are profoundly grateful to the Biggar Young Farmers for their exceptional fundraising efforts in support of the CJD Support Network. Throughout 2024/25, the Biggar Young Farmers dedicated their fundraising efforts to honouring Jock Gray, organising several fantastic events including a charity vehicle road run on June 29, 2024, at Biggar Showfield. This event featured a diverse array of vehicles and participants, all united for a common cause. An auction of signed men’s and women’s Scotland rugby shirts further contributed to their fundraising success.
Biggar Young Farmers raised over £30,000 throughout the year – a remarkable achievement that showcased the generosity and heartfelt support from the entire community.
At their AGM on 17th March 2025, our committee member Diane Ritchie was honoured to attend and accept this wonderful donation. The Biggar Young Farmers shared their heartfelt gratitude:
“We have been completely blown away by the generosity of everyone who took part and donated. A massive thank you to each and every one of you! 🌟❤️”
The generosity, compassion, and dedication shown by everyone involved will significantly enhance our ability to support families affected by Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD).
From all of us at the CJD Support Network, our deepest thanks to Biggar Young Farmers and all who contributed. Your support makes a real and lasting difference.
